A statement shared by ZNBC and seen by ZED GOSSIP reads “The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation would like to dispel social media reports that Mr. Chiko Mukoka has been fired by the Corporation.

Mr. Mukoka is a ZNBC employee who is currently on leave from the Corporation.

Social media has been awash with pictures of an incident that happened yesterday involving Mr Mukoka, where he was beaten up by a mob.

As ZNBC we would like to state that We are working closely with Mr. Mukokas family as they go through this difficult situation”.

Meanwhile, Chiko’s brother Augustine Mukoka, in a statement is dismayed that some unknown people clobbered his brother on allegations that he was caught trying to steal a side mirror of a car.

He says that his brother has a mental problem and at no point did he try to steal stating that he needs support from all those that love him.
