Matildah Muchindu is the trailblazer who has made a phenomenal mark in the film industry on the international stage.

Born in 1981 in Siavonga Zambia, Matildah a single mother of four migrated to Australia on May 22nd 2008 in search of a better life not knowing that her fate will lead her on an exciting adventure in film.

A trained assistant nurse and massage therapist by profession, Matlidah decided to pursue her dream of acting and landed her first big ticket to stardom in her 2014 production “What Kept Me going”

Matlidah who goes by the stage name Maddie Mitchell talks of her acting career as a dream come true, as she walked us through her journey in the lime.

This year Matildah decided to spread her wings and penetrated the Nollywood film industry on her feature film ‘’Family Slavery” a movie that tells her family story were she shared the stage with Naija’s finest stars the likes of Patience Ozokwor, and Oge Okoye.

She went on to feature in Nigeria’s renowned director Onyii Ikechukwu’s movie “The Messager” alongside Ken Eric, amarachii gidmbah and Chizzy Alichi.

Her international recognition is beyond boarders, last year she got her first international award at the African Film Festival in the U.S for her first production “What Kept Me Going”.

Later this year,Matildah is set to release her latest project “Scars of a Mother”. Movie

Matildah insists her journey in the film industry is meant at being a source of inspiration to people who have hit rock bottom as she did at one point in her life.

In her short acting career spanning four years, Matildah has proved that she is in it to win it, and spoke about her future projects with so much confidence and determination.
