Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa, has endorsed celebrated Zambian mix DJ Vjeezy for his passion and efforts to promote local music both in Zambia and on the international market.

Mr. Sampa, who made a post this morning on his facebook page seen by ZED GOSSIP, said he is monitoring a number of youth in Lusaka who have a passion with what they do in life. He says it is important to recognize works of youths if what they do in society yields positive results.

He wrote

” PASSION on any Job, Business or Activity is all it takes to succeed.
I love ‘ba Yufi’ who are Passionate about what they do.
Today my job-passionate youth of the Week goes to Mr Vernon Daka Aka “DJ Veezy, the Sauce Boss” based in LUSAKA City.
He loves what he does with passion.
I have no song request but will give him a trophy.
This Award is meant to encourage and inform other Youths of Lusaka City that I am watching as they work in whatever field and more so if done with passion.

And in accepting the honours Vjeezy said he was humbled by the words from the great Lusaka mayor whom he never expected to appreciate his works.

“This is very humbling and encouraging . There is nothing better than being appreciated. When I started deejaying on a level and scale that I do , it was new to Zambians , most people did not understand where I was going with this . I purely earn a living off this job now, I love it and I am passionate about it . Miles Sampa sir , the mayor of Lusaka city , I accept this award . Thank you for the recognition”.
