PRESS RELEASE: HULT PRIZE IN ZAMBIA
Lusaka, Zambia, 18th November 2019 – Zambian students in Zambian universities and colleges can now bring the Hult Prize on their campus by applying as Campus Directors and participate in the Hult Prize challenge as Competitors on their On Campus Programs and at the Regional Summits to win US$1 million global startup prize.
In partnership with the United Nations, the Hult Prize hosts college and university events around the world in search of the next game-changing startup. The winner of the local On Campus Program automatically advances to compete in one of Hult Prize Regional Summits happening around the world in major cities like Boston to Shanghai, Dubai, Toronto, San Francisco, Tunisia, London, Egypt, Lagos, Mexico, Nairobi, Quito, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur to smaller regional areas like Amman and Ramallah. One winning team from each host city will then move onto a summer accelerator, where participants receive mentorship, advisory and strategic planning as they create prototypes and set-up to launch their new social business. Final rounds of the competition are hosted in September, every year, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where the winning team to be awarded the $1,000,000 prize.
