Malawian Singer/Songwriter Hazel Mark has made history for Malawi by being the first ever female artist from Malawi to win an Afrima award in the ‘Best Act In Diaspora’ category.
The ceremony took place this past weekend in Accra, Ghana and Hazel was there to receive her award which left her speechless when her name was announced as the winner.
Hazel’s 2018 release ‘Jaiva’ featured Malawi’s Tay Grin and Zambia’s Roberto was the song nominated in the category and came out top of all others in the group making Hazel the winner.
